Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Desa Ngendrosari Kecamatan Kajoran Kabupaten Magelang Melalui Inovasi Kerajinan Bambu

Abstract

Bamboo containers have been made widely by women in Ngendrosari village, Kajoran sub-district, Magelang regency. The containers are used to storage the salted fish, which are made from simple tools. They have not been optimal and cannot produce significant profits to improve the family income. This condition is caused by the existence of container types without modification. To facilitate the women in that village in improving their small-medium entrepreneur in producing bamboo containers, it is a need to dedicate services for the society to make betterment in terms of products. This project is also to motivate, train, and guide the product developers to produce more innovated bamboo containers independently through the use of efficient and effective technology. The method of this service project is by implementing the participatory society empowerment model which includes parties in deciding the problem solving. The projects are preceded by activity socialization, achieve motivation training, bamboo container innovation training through the use of machines, simple accounting training, good marketing training and guidance. The training of innovating the products is aimed at raising the price of the containers. The products are going to be sold around Rp. 15.000,00 per pack, Rp. 1.000,00 for a small tissue box, and Rp. 3.000,00 for a bamboo plate.
